The pepino (pear-melon), a solanaceous plant introduced to Madeira, bearing yellow oblong fruit with a melon-like taste.
A solanaceous plant introduced to Madeira under the name Solanum guatemalense, but which should perhaps be referred to S. muricatum. It bears oblong yellow fruits whose flavour is somewhat like that of melon.
