João da Mota Prego was an agronomist who lived for a time in Funchal and wrote an article on the agriculture, industry and trade of Madeira and Porto Santo for 'Notas sobre Portugal' (1908).
An agronomist who lived for some time in Funchal. He wrote a valuable article on the agriculture, industry and trade of Madeira and Porto Santo (‘holy harbour’), in vol. I, pp. 377–400, of Notas sobre Portugal, a book that was shown at the national exhibition in Rio de Janeiro in 1908.
