Folk treatment of urinary gravel ('areias') with St John's wort infusion and a diet low in meat and alcohol.
An infusion of St John’s wort gives good results in treating this disease, provided the patient takes little meat, wine and spirit (aguardente, distilled from sugar cane or wine).
