The mango tree, a small Indian tree of the Anacardiaceae widely grown in Madeira's lower zone, whose fruit is among the island's best and ripens from August to October.

A small tree of the family Anacardiaceae, widely cultivated in the lower zone of Madeira. It is native to India, and its large yellow or reddish fruits are among the best that Madeira produces. Mangoes appear from August to October.
