English physician of Russian family origin who practised medicine in Madeira for some years and wrote on hygiene in Funchal and a guide to Madeira.

An English physician, though from a family of Russian origin, who practised medicine in Madeira for some years. Works: Die Hygiene auf Funchal in Madeira (Archiv für Schiffs und Tropen-Hygiene, vol. III, 1899) and Führer durch Madeira, Berlin, 1906, 1 vol.

He died of pulmonary tuberculosis in a sanatorium in Switzerland around 1908.
