Jasper, a mixture of opaque quartz and coloured hydrates, found on Porto Santo in pale yellow and brownish forms.
It is a mixture of opaque quartz with variously coloured hydrates. It is found on Porto Santo (‘holy harbour’), where it is pale yellow and brownish in colour.
