French physician who visited Madeira in 1850 and translated Dr Barral's work on Madeira's climate and phthisis (1858).
French physician who in 1858 published a translation of Dr Barral’s work on the climate of Madeira. This translation is entitled Le Climat de Madère et son influence thérapeutique sur la phthisie pulmonaire, and several important changes were introduced into it with the author’s consent.
Dr Garnier, who was in Madeira at the end of October 1850, also wrote a pamphlet with the following title: Itinéraire de Paris à Madère (Union Médicale, October, 1859).
