Canon Manuel Esteves Fazenda, from Covilhã, appointed canon of Funchal Cathedral in 1899, where he was active as politician and journalist; died in Lisbon in 1903.
He was a native of the city of Covilhã and died in Lisbon on 13 March 1903, aged 58. In 1899 he was appointed canon of Funchal Cathedral (the Sé) (Sé do Funchal), and in this city he made his name as a politician and journalist, holding several political posts here.
