Espinheiro (Lycium europaeum)
A wild shrub of Madeira and Porto Santo whose leaf infusion is diuretic.
A shrub growing wild on Madeira and Porto Santo (‘holy harbour’). It is found at Calheta (‘small cove’), at Câmara de Lobos (‘seals’ den’), etc. An infusion of its leaves is diuretic.
