Original title: Costa (Monsenhor Hipolito da Purificação das Angustias e)

A wealthy Brazilian priest who died in Funchal in 1912, whose verbal will disposing of his property in Brazil and Goa led to a lawsuit in the Brazilian courts.

This Brazilian priest, who possessed a considerable fortune, died in Funchal on 9 January 1912. Shortly before his death he disposed verbally of the property he owned in Brazil and in Goa. His last wishes were contested, and a lawsuit on the matter went before the Brazilian courts.
