Corsão

Describes the corsão, a large sledge in which the board is replaced by four beams in a long rectangle, used to haul bulky loads such as pine brushwood, casks and furniture.

A large corsa (wheelless wooden sledge) in which the plank is replaced by four beams arranged in a very elongated rectangle. Sometimes a wide grating-like platform rests on this rectangle, allowing very bulky loads to be carried, such as pine brushwood for bakers’ ovens, casks, furniture, etc.
