Agrimony, a common perennial of the rose family in Madeira whose leaf and flower infusion may be used as a gargle for sore throats.
A perennial plant of the family Rosaceae, subfamily Rosoideae, very common in Madeira. Its leaves are pinnatisect, with distinct segments, and its yellow flowers are arranged in long, narrow racemes. An infusion of the leaves and flowers of this plant may be used as a gargle for quinsy.
